Living in Netflix-the underlying theme of Netflix's reimagined headquarters located in Los Gatos, California.
Living in Netflix is categorized under three "living" scenarios. The greenery that lives within the office brings in biophillic design-proven to improve cognitive processes, productiveness, and overall health. The second living gathers Netflix's popular shows into the space for branding purposes in addition to fitting a space across the multi-generation work force. The last living is living room or home. Employees spend at least a third of their day dedicated working for Netflix. With the warm materials and "living room"(or chill) spaces throughout the floor plan, employees are welcomed to work in a place they can call home.
The space is divided into fun, open and interactive spaces on the north and work-oriented spaces on the south. This division gives the experience more structure and constant balanced communication between the two distinguished spaces. Employees have amenities to a theater which doubles as an all-hands space, a themed-work cafe, an interactive library, and of course, unlimited snacks, beer-on-tap and popcorn.
With all three "living scenarios", it supports Netflix's core philosophy of people over process. Creating spaces that impacts the well-being of a person, creating fun and functional spaces that are flexible amongst its diverse employees and a place that they can call home is Living in Netflix.
